Technology & Innovation in Care

St. Johnsville Rehabilitation & Nursing Center uses state-of-the-art technology systems to improve resident quality of life and care.

Everything in one Electronic Health Record

PointClickCare is a leading cloud-based EHR platform that improves care delivery. PointClickCare allows our staff to deliver the highest quality of care, improve work performance, and simplify the complex processes related to regulatory compliance for our residents. PointClickCare helps our staff ensure that they have the right information at the right time, and that the intelligence of the health record follows each resident. Our staff documents using both laptop computers and mobile devices so they have information at point of care when it is needed most.

Work order, Environmental Compliance, and Equipment Tracking System

TELS is a cloud-based building management system that allows staff to quickly track equipment schedules, preventive maintenance, keep the facility compliant with environmental regulations, secure physical assets, and keep staff and residents safe. The TELS system helps staff stay compliant, increase their productivity and maintain equipment.

Accunurse Voice-Care Technology

We are the only local facility with voice-care technology Accunurse, which allows for true person-centered care with real-time access to care plans and patient data. This digitally operated system with voice recognition technology allows staff to retrieve information about specific residents on demand and accurately document care given on the spot. Accunurse helps towards improved efficiencies and reduced documentation errors,

“We’re a small country nursing home that you wouldn’t typically find working with leading-edge technology,” stated Dave Wallace, Administrator at the St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. “However, this technology allows us to provide better care with a proactive approach. When one of the systems sounds an alert, we can immediately address it then tie in training for the nursing staff to correct it, thus continually improving the quality of our care.
